This important data cannot be captured by traditional, analog occlusal methods, like articulating paper. It is used to balance implants and new restorations by eliminating destructive forces (occlusal adjustment) that results in even and balanced occlusion. 

The most common method to detect occlusion (articulating paper, shim-stock foil, and others) only give you a partial picture of bite information. T-Scan digital occlusion technology gives you a more complete picture of bite force and bite timing and provides the “inside” look on what is going on in a patient’s mouth.
