Valeri Dounski, DDS is a skilled and experienced dentist who has been practicing general dentistry for more than 25 years. He has been treating various dental issues ranging from small fillings to implants, porcelain crowns and All-On-4 implant dentures. He specializes in cosmetic and restorative dentistry and is proud to work with the best dental laboratories, including Jason J. Kim Dental Aesthetics Lab in Long Island, NY – a leader in aesthetic-driven prosthetic restorations.

In 2002 Dr. Dounski graduated from dental school at NYU where he earned his DDS degree. Since then, he has been leading his private practice in Edgewater, NJ. 

Dr. Dounski’s philosophy is preventative, comprehensive and conservative. He has a delicate touch and an ability to explain diagnosis and treatment options in terms patients can understand. 

Dr. Dounski believes that the first step in dental care is diagnostics. The first consultation consists of thorough Oral Evaluation, Digital X-Rays (high-resolution Panoramic X-Ray and sectional X-Rays), Intra-Oral Camera Exam (photos of inside of the mouth), and a T-Scan Digital Occlusal Scan (digital analysis to evaluate the stability of occlusion and bite). All of these diagnostic tools help Dr. Dounski see the full picture of oral condition before offering an individualized treatment plan. 

Dr. Dounski enjoys an active, healthy lifestyle, and stays fit by spending a lot of time outdoors. He also loves art, photography, and exploring mountains.

Dr. Leonard Swerdlof is a Board Certified Periodontist extensively trained in providing state of the art dental and periodontal care for 12 years. He is able to treat all forms of periodontal problems and offers comprehensive solutions for patients with missing teeth with outstanding long-term success. He performs full spectrum of oral and implant surgery such as periodontal plastic surgery, gum microsurgery, sinus lift, immediate implant placement and bone grafting. Additionally, Dr. Swerdlof practices treatment of peri-implantitis, treatment of gum recession and bone regeneration utilizing: 

• Emdogain Biologic Material
• VISTA minimally invasive procedure technique for soft tissue grafting 
• Juvederm and Restylane (hyaluronic acid fillers) for restoring youthful gum volume and eliminating “black triangles”

Dr. Swerdlof received his DMD degree at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine of New Jersey, and was later accepted into the post-graduate program in Periodontics, where he attained his specialty certification. In addition to his general and periodontal specialty training he had interned in the Oral and Maxillofacial department of a multi-specialty hospital in Saint Petersburg, as well as comprehensive dental program at the New York University to increase his proficiency in the vast scope of modern dentistry. 

Through his comprehensive and thorough approach to consultations and treatment planning, Dr. Swerdlof is able to improve patient’s oral condition, as well as their overall well-being. Each patient has his unwavering commitment to be a good listener and a dedicated practitioner with a pledge to clinical excellence.
