Dental Diagnostics

Digital X-Rays

Dental X-rays (radiographs) are images of your teeth that your dentist uses to evaluate your oral health. These X-rays are used with low levels of radiation to capture images of the interior of your teeth and gums. This can help your dentist to identify problems, like cavities, tooth decay, and impacted teeth. Dental X-rays may seem complex, but they’re actually very common tools that are just as important as your teeth cleanings.

The benefits of Digital X-Rays:

  • Less Radiation– Digital X-Rays are known to use 90% less radiation than traditional X-Rays
  • Easier Dental Appointments– No amount of preparation time is needed.
  • Much higher Quality Images– The images can be blown up to any size for your dentist to accurately look for issues, if any.
  • Transferring Dental Records immediately– Since in the digitized form, therefore, they can be instantly sent to any other specialty office for further reference, within seconds.
  • Environmentally Friendly– Digital radiography does not have to use any chemicals for developing the film.
  • The complete picture is available– This feature typically ensures that you obtain the best diagnosis possible.
  • Immediate Viewing– Digital radiography allows real time viewing of your oral cavity. With much lesser radiation exposure, this is a unique advantage.

Digital X-Rays ensure:

  • A more than 70% less radiation
  • Less discomfort
  • Detecting problems sooner
  • Less time in the chair

Intra-Oral Camera:

Intra-Oral camera is a tool used in assessing and diagnosing oral health problems. It enables you and your dentist to have an intraoral close-up analysis of the different structures inside your mouth. An intraoral camera has a built-in light source which allows the dentist and the patient to see the external structures of the teeth, the gums and the buccal cavity. With the illumination, intraoral camera is used to take videos and the still camera is used to capture the image of the condition of the teeth which helps in the assessment and diagnosis of plaque formation, dental cavities, gum diseases, chipped or cracked tooth, broken dental fillings and other oral conditions.

3D CBCT:

Dental CBCT system is used by radiologists and dental professionals for dental implant planning, visualization of abnormal teeth, evaluation of the jaws and face, diagnosis of dental caries (cavities), endodontic (root canal) diagnosis, and diagnosis of dental trauma.

Dental CBCT images provide three-dimensional (3-D) information, rather than the two-dimensional (2-D) information provided by a conventional X-ray image.

T-Scan Digital Occlusal Scan:

Nearly EVERY dental procedure performed impacts occlusion!

Poor occlusion affects quality of life.

T-Scan is a tool used by our dentists to restore this quality of life.

The T-Scan is an objective assessment system that enhances patient education, satisfaction, and retention, reduces costly repeat visits and remakes, and enables a more confident, proactive approach to patient care. With T-Scan’s digital bite force data, our clinicians can pinpoint occlusal interferences, quickly remove them, and treat our patients with greater accuracy than ever before.

T-Scan™ provides dynamic occlusal measurement – revealing the level and timing of force on individual teeth and the occlusal stability of the overall bite.

T-Scan™ Novus™ is dentistry’s clinically recognized and research validated digital occlusion analysis system.

T-Scan Novus is the complete digital occlusal analysis solution that helps our clinicians to identify premature contacts, high forces, and interrelationship of occlusal surfaces. This important data cannot be captured by traditional, analog occlusal methods, like articulating paper. It is used to balance implants and new restorations by eliminating destructive forces (occlusal adjustment) that results in even and balanced occlusion.

The most common method to detect occlusion (articulating paper, shim-stock foil, and others) only give you a partial picture of bite information. T-Scan digital occlusion technology gives you a more complete picture of bite force and bite timing and provides the “inside” look on what is going on in a patient’s mouth. This digital data provides all the insights required to provide the best care, by being able to pinpoint the problem area.  Having the ability to measure a patient’s bite force and bite timing is incredibly important for ensuring proper, complete treatment of a patient’s procedure.
